The Bodyworks Team

At Bodyworks we acknowledge the interdependency between 'Function' and 'Structure' meaning that in order for optimal movement of a joint or muscle it is required to have an optimal position from which to move from. What sets our instructors aside from other studios internationally is that most of our instructors have received and continue to receive ongoing training both in Functional Movement and Structural Therapy so that even if you come to us with an acute or chronic case of pain you will gain maximum benefit from your sessions.

Julianne Chen

Julianne is the co-owner of Bodyworks and has a degree in Physical Education. Julianne began her career working as a fitness instructor before studying and teaching Yoga. Despite her passion for Yoga Julianne found that it didn’t give her the in-depth knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology she was looking for. This search led her to study more Functional Movement disciplines such as Pilates which she finds extremely valuable when working with clients with postural or musculo-skeletal imbalances.
