low carb dietThe Purpose of this diet is to lose body fat. For this reason the rules are very straight forward. The diet we are following is basically very simple. No carbs and if it’s white don’t eat it ! (apart from eggs and cauliflower that is ). Fruit is also excluded except for fruits which are low on the glycemic index such as blueberries, avocados, raspberries and cranberries. These must be fresh and not the dried variety as they all tend to have sugar added. You are allowed to have wine so long as it is red wine and no more than 1 glass per day. Absolutely no bread or rice – this includes brown and organic rice.

Now comes the good part – you need to choose a day (preferably the same each week) which is your cheat day. On this day you should indulge yourself in all things carb. Yes this means ice cream, chocolate … everything is allowed. You need to include this cheat day to prevent your body from going into a starvation mode. This means that if/when you eventually introduce carbs back into the diet you don’t suddenly bloat out and shoot up 5 kilos overnight as your body holds on to as much as possible !

After the ten weeks is up you can slowly begin to introduce carbs back into the diet but within moderation and keep a check on your measurements.
